HOW DOES A LASER REMOVE A TATTOO?
The laser creates a pulse in a nanosecond in the range of very high energy. When the laser absorbs the pigment, the pigment cells quickly expand and burst into parts that are eliminated through phagocytes, which means that the “broken” pigment is absorbed by the body and excreted. Gradually, the pigment becomes lighter and lighter until it completely disappears.
WHAT IS THE INTERVAL BETWEEN LASER TREATMENTS?
A minimum of 6 months must pass from tattooing to the first possible laser treatment. The interval between individual laser treatments must be at least 40 days so that the skin can regenerate deeply. In case you just want to fade the old tattoo so that a new tattoo design can be placed over it, 3 to 6 months must pass from the last laser treatment to the tattooing. When removing small line tattoos, the entire process takes shorter, and the intervals between individual treatments can be slightly shorter because the skin does not need as much time to recover as after treating large, darker tattoos.
